01Who is responsible for your information

Price Bash is the customer-facing trading name for this storefront. The registered seller and Information Officer contact details must be confirmed in the Contact & Legal Information page before public launch.

Our ecommerce platform and payment, delivery and support providers may process information on our instructions or for their own legally defined purposes.

02What we collect

• Contact details, including your name, email, telephone number and delivery address.
• Order details, products purchased, transaction references and support correspondence.
• Device and browser information, basic website activity, security logs and cookie identifiers where used.
• Payment confirmations and transaction tokens. Card details are handled by payment processors rather than intentionally stored as plain payment-card data by Price Bash.

03Why we use it

We process relevant data to accept and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, provide invoices and warranties, handle returns, prevent fraud, communicate transactional updates, meet accounting and legal obligations, and improve site performance.

Applicable POPIA grounds may include contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent, depending on the purpose. We do not rely on a single blanket consent for every use.

04Who receives information

Information may be disclosed as necessary to ecommerce infrastructure providers (including Shopify, which powers the store's product and checkout systems), payment gateways, couriers, support tools and professional advisers, subject to their roles and applicable safeguards.

We may share information where legally required. Where information is transferred outside South Africa, we seek lawful protections appropriate to POPIA's cross-border provisions.

05Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies may keep the storefront, security and checkout functioning. Where analytics or marketing technologies are enabled, they may help us measure visits and campaigns. Non-essential tracking must be configured and communicated in line with applicable privacy rules.

You can manage cookies through your browser. Disabling necessary cookies may affect the cart and checkout. Any available cookie preference settings should be respected by the technologies deployed on the website.

06Marketing and preferences

We send electronic marketing where legally permitted, including with valid consent or within POPIA's limited existing-customer rules. Marketing messages must identify the sender and provide a practical free opt-out. Unsubscribing does not stop essential order or safety updates.

07Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion where lawful, or object to processing on permitted grounds. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Submit a request by replying to an order-confirmation message and marking it “POPIA request,” or use the verified privacy contact once published. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing information.

08Retention, security and complaints

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to limit unauthorised access and retain information only as necessary for legitimate purposes or statutory recordkeeping. No internet transmission can be guaranteed entirely risk-free.
